There's no substitute for seeing and feeling a yarn or fibre or trying out a loom or wheel, but we have tried to give you as much helpful information as possible on the pages below. Just click on the relevant heading and it will open in a separate window. To download it to your own computer, right-click on the link, choose "Save target as", and save it to a folder on your computer.

We've done our best to get the colours as accurate as possible, but some are notoriously difficult, and screens and printers vary anyway. So we have put together two sample sets covering the main yarn ranges. Set 1 includes all the colours of the chunky and supersoft lambswool, the 2/16 and the 3x2/16 mercerised cotton, the 60/2 and 30/2 silks, and the various weights of cabled cotton warp. Set 2 includes all the colours of tencel, cotlin, the viscose/linen blend, the Puma stretch viscose, the Jaggerspun merino and the Jaggerspun Zephyr. Each of these sets costs £3. We can also supply you with bespoke sample cards if you have special requirements - up to five yarns of one colour on a card for £1.25, or up to five "special" yarns on a card for £1.75 - just let us know which yarns you want.

Most of our main lines are covered in the catalogue pages below, but some ranges - our rug yarn and our merino tops, for example - are so extensive we simply can't get the hundred plus colours for each one in any sensible format. We also have a lot more items of small equipment than you'll see here.

We have been working hard this year to make it possible for you to buy directly from our website, and you can now buy yarns from some of our most popular ranges by clicking the links on the left. Other things will follow as soon as we can possibly manage it, but for the moment please continue to email or phone us with your order for them - or best of all, come in and browse if you can, and give yourself a chance to make those serendipitous discoveries of items that haven't yet made it to the catalogue!
