Handweavers latest update 05/01/21
Handweavers is now in lockdown 3. We are closed to personal shoppers. We are continuing to answer our telephones, respond to emails, service internet orders and offer click and collect service with collections of prepaid orders off the premises in harmony with current rules.
If you plan to use the click and collect service please use the door bell. We will validate your purchase and deposit your order outside the door. Orders can be placed online or by phone. Orders can be collected within usual shop opening hours (see Contact us for opening hours (scroll down page for times).
Royal Mail and courier companies are all working hard to keep deliveries running as normally as possible, however please be aware that from time to time they may experience heavier than usual workloads in combination with staff shortages so there may be times when your order does not arrive within the usual timescale. If you need items urgently so would like Special Delivery with tracking and guaranteed next day delivery please put items in the online basket then call us and we will let you know the available option for your order.
Please remember for EU countries UK VAT is no longer applied to your order. You will be contacted by your country's customs if there is a need to charge for local taxes.
If you need to speak with us, please call 020 7272 1891 (10am - 6pm Monday to Friday)
We have an extensive range of materials and equipment for the whole world of fibre art and textile crafts - yarns for weavers and knitters; merino tops; plant, animal and 'other' fibres for spinners and felters; fancy threads for embroiderers ... the list goes on. And then there are the shuttles, high and low-tech looms, tapestry frames, spinning wheels, carders, niddy-noddies, tassel moulds and a host of other equipment, large and small... plus books and magazines covering a wide range of textile topics to instruct and inspire both children and adults. Most of our yarns and fibres are available in really small quantities, so you needn't worry about breaking the bank! Our immediate workshop programme and regular weaving classes have been postponed until it is safe to run them again, but if you are interested in a particular workshop, let us know and we are happy to let you know when we can start planning again with certainty.
