cotton 82%/Nylon 18% Yoga yarn 8/2ne
As indicated by its name this yarn from Ashford is ‘flexible’, which makes it ideal for weaving on a Rigid Heddle loom as the slight elasticity of the yarn helps to take care of “saggy sheds”
The secret is in the yarn construction - each of the 2 plies is cotton spun over a nylon core, which means the yarn combines the strength and elasticity of nylon with the natural comfort of cotton.
You cannot see the nylon core so the yarn will dye like cotton should you wish to do so.
The yarn is also 35% lighter than a 100% cotton equivalent size (ie it is 8/2ne but looks and weaves like 5/2ne)
Our “In shop’ image is of 1 pick up stick waffle. The Yoga Yarn was doubled for warp and weft using a 12.5 epi (50/10cm) reed. The loom shown is Ashford 10” SampleIt.
